About
Craiglockhart After School Club (CASC) is our inclusive and welcoming after-school programme, open to all pupils from Primary 1 through to Primary 7. Established in 1991, CASC was created to provide essential support for parents and carers of Craiglockhart Primary School. Since then, the club has continued to grow, evolve, and enhance the services it offers to meet the changing needs of our school community.

At CASC, we offer a wide variety of engaging and age-appropriate activities designed to promote creativity, physical wellbeing, and social development. Children can take part in hands-on art and craft projects and engage in a range of indoor and outdoor games. Outdoor play is a key component of our programme, with visits to nearby Harrison Park offering opportunities for exploration, sports, and fun in the fresh air.
In addition to active play, we provide quiet spaces for reading, relaxation, allowing pupils to wind down in a calm and supportive environment. Our flexible and balanced approach ensures that every child has the chance to participate in structured activities as well as enjoy free play with friends.
CASC also runs a popular Holiday Club during school breaks, offering full-day care packed with exciting outings and themed activities. Children enjoy trips to a wide range of local attractions such as the cinema, beach, country parks, museums, and more. These experiences are designed to be both educational and fun, encouraging children to stay active, explore new places, and build lasting memories with their peers.
CASC is more than just a childcare service—it’s a vibrant and nurturing community where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive outside of regular school hours.
